Yesterday the Sager Family went to church. Unfortunately it doesn't happen every Sunday cause Wes works sometime, but when we go we really enjoy it. We go to Sunday School. We have a couple of friends that invited us one time. And it has been a very long time since we have gone. I was hesitant to go at first cause when I thought of Sunday School I thought of when I was a child. But I am so thankful that our friends invited us. Ever since we moved away from Port Huron we have been trying many different churches. We continued to try the biggest churches thinking that's what we wanted. But we have ended up now going to a small church that reminds both Wes and I of Northgate. We have been able to get to know some of the other people that attend the Sunday School. Plus when I think of some of the best times in my life growing up, they involve the church that I used to attend, Northgate Bible Church. My mom told me just yesterday that she was so thankful that our neighbor offered her a job there as a secretary. Northgate is the place that my whole family came to kow Jesus. I really want Wesley to grow up in a church and come to know Christ. It has become very important ever since I became a mom. Unfortunately it just took a little longer that I would have liked. Northgate was a big part of my life. Other than being the church that I came to know Jesus, and met my husband. It was my school that I went to K-6th grade, Awana, Sunday School and Vacation Bible School and youth group. Another important event happened there. My dad didn't always attend church with us when I was younger. And when I was in middle school I believe, one morning he we woke up and started getting ready for church and he said the words that we have been praying about. " I think that I will come to church with you!" We have been praying for that day for so long. God answered the most important prayer for me at that time. Ever since then my dad has become a Christian he is so involved in church through the music program. He is a drummer (the best ever!) And he sings. I love his voice! We were so blessed when he became a Christian and got baptized! Many tears were shed by the Martin Family that day! Wes and I met at Great Lakes and we also got married at that church in '98. So, when I go up to Michigan and pass that church I am always thankful for our time spent there. Now I want to give Wesley those kind of memories. I ask for your prayers that as a mom that I am able to show Wesley the way to Christ and teach him the way that I was taught as a child. My thanks goes out to everyone that had a hand in my becoming a Christian and being my mentors from my parents, pastor, sunday school teachers and teachers at my school. Thank You and may God Bless you as he has blessed me!
